Mr. Sangiv Asthana brings with him a rich and varied experience of 21 years of teaching out of which 16 years as a Principal of different boarding/day schools including Billabong High International School India (A Tina Ambani Group); Little Flower High School, Abu Dhabi; St. Joseph’s Convent, Africa and as Founder Principal of Delhi Public School, Singapore. An alumni of St. John’s Convent School, Chandigarh, the Head of the Institution is a qualified MA (English); MBA; M. ED; Master Trainer Soft Skills from University of Singapore; possessing excellent written and verbal skills. He has been a guest speaker and visiting faculty for various corporate houses on soft skills focusing on Leadership; Communication skills; Time management etc. Being a sports person he actively plays tennis and badminton (Played Nationals); a President’s Scout medal winner from Late President Dr. Fakruddin Ali Ahamad. In addition Mr. Asthana has edited about 200 books (e-books 20-25 pages each), researched and authored the book, “Far ---yet so Near; India and Africa a close-up”. He is also the author of books on IELTS for the British Academy Chandigarh.

Apart from teaching English to higher classes, he is also adept in conducting training programmes for teachers on innovative teaching methodologies by conducting seminar/workshops on class room management; student management skills; He is a visiting faculty to IIM, Ahmedabad; GGS College;, Chandigarh; Oxford School, Trivendrum etc.
Mr. S. Asthana is of the opinion that, “It is practically an uphill task for teachers to stay updated with the latest developments at individual levels empathetically considering their tight daily school schedule: The world is changing fast, and children need new-age skills, such as collaboration and ability to learn new things quickly to keep pace. In order to develop these skills, we, the facilitators, need to keep pace with the latest developments in the field of education. With the current pressures on teachers, though it is difficult to expect them to incorporate cutting-edge innovations into their work, yet this is our endeavour at The Heritage School, Jammu.
